Comparative Study of Fire Safety Laws
In keeping with the goal to engage youth in understanding the varied facets of fire safety, four interns from Christ (Deemed-to-be) University took up a project under the guidance of Sai Apabharana, Member Executive Council, BEYOND CARLTON. The interns conducted a research study to analyse and submit a comparative study of Fire Safety Laws in countries such as U.K, U.S.A. and Japan. This task has enabled greater understanding of the fire policies in different countries and how the same might be customised and made applicable to India.
In addition the students, also studied the fire laws prevalent in India and what policy suggestions could improve the standards. A brief report in fire risk assessment was also completed
